Castles are the main protagonists on this itinerary, or rather, castles are the excuse for getting to know two towns: Arbeca and La Floresta, where history has left an imprint that is still visible among the narrow streets and fortifications. Here you can also visit Les Borges Blanques, capital of the district.This route has all the taste of history - and trees of olives.
The first stop is in Les Borges Blanques. In the capital town of the region you should visit the porticoed Main.
Square in the Gothic style, but with Renaissance ornamentation, the Church of Santa Maria, which is neo- Classical from the 17th century; the Town Hall, which was once the former palace of the Marquis of Olivart, and the Municipal Archaeological Museum (located in the building of the town hall), with exhibits devoted to ethnology, archaeology and olive oil and the Olive Oil Theme Park (Parc temà tic de l'oli) located 3 kms from the village (road N-240, km 71).
